Atari's Tempest is a one or two player vector based graphics game with a color X-Y monitor.
The game required a fast action. The player controls a yellow claw-like object thatcan be rotated around the top rim of several different "tubes". Enemies come out of the tubes and attempt to destroy the player.
Tempest was Atari's first color vector game. It was also chosen as the first arcade game to have its source code openly documented by enthusiasts of the game.
